God, Our Exceeding Great Reward, November 30, 2025

Does prayer work?
Why don't you pray?
Why did you stop praying?
What if you get all that you desire? Will you ever pray?
What if you never get anything you've ever desired? Will you stay with Him?
Why are you downcast this year?

Many Christians have betrayed themselves in that they just know prayer works but scarcely put it into practise.
Many Christians stop praying after circumstances or even after blessings.

Genesis 15:1

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”

God wants us to experience Him and not things.
He desires that in a world where there are many options and urgencies and emergencies and things that pose as important that we can choose Him with soberness.
He must become priority and everything.

Choosing Him means:
That we leave Him to have the final say in everything.
Giving up your entire will.
Trusting Him always.
Loving Him beyond Everything.

Situations in our lives speak otherwise and may contradict our faith in Him.
Spirits don't hear empty words they hear sacrifice.
GOD comes to Abraham and says, I am your shield and your great reward.

He must become everything.
God's presence is not cheap.
You can never move the hand of God if you have an option.
The Lord will test you.

When Abraham was answered, he remained there, and on the Day that the Lord tested Him to sacrifice His son Isaac, he did not hold back because the Lord was His great exceeding reward.
He was a man who had decided to follow Him (God) with a single Heart.

Fear.

1 Samuel: 7:9-10

9 Then Samuel took a suckling lamb and sacrificed it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord. He cried out to the Lord on Israel’s behalf, and the Lord answered him.

10 While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites.

Do not lean on your own understanding.

Hebrews 11:13

13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.

We may not attain everything, but our faith is not swayed by anything.

Human beings are created with limitations.

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

Not my will but your will.

Luke 22:42

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

A place of total surrender.
