Joshua 1:1-6
1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying:
2 “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.
4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.
5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.
6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
Position to posses
Move to a position where you can possess the land.
The children of Israel had reached Jordan and the land they were to possess was right before them but not yet in their possession. Somehow they were getting comfortable seeing they are almost there but they were yet to possess. They needed to move into a position in which they could possess the land. As close as they were, they were not in a good position to posses the land. It only remained a promise and not a possession. God called them out to move to the right position that allowed them to possess the land. Without moving into position or rightly positioning yourself, the only thing you have remains just a dream or promise that you don't possess. This is why they had to Arise, ... go over Jordan.....into... ..all this is moving into POSITION
"wherever your feet will step I will give to you ..." This is Possessing.
Every blessing is positioned in a certain position.
Ephesians 1
3. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
You must get to a certain position for you to get things from their position. Forget naming it and claiming it.
You can not possess a car of 200k if your financial position is 10k. You need to raise at least 200k in financial position then you are in a position to possess that car.
Some great goals and dreams will just remain dreams unless you position yourself, you will never possess them.
We need to move from our current position and position ourselves in a place where we can possess our dreams, goals and visions.
This means a shift spiritually mentally, financially, physically, socially and character-wise.
It requires a change from good to better ideas and ways of doing things while maintaining what has worked well.
Proverbs 12:15 A wise man changes his mind but only a fool who does not.
As long as you remain in that position forget possessing just keep dreaming.
Kuna baraka zingine ni za asubuhi na mapema, kama wewe hupendi kuamka mapema. (there are some blessings for early risers. If you don't like waking up early ...) Forget ever enjoying or partaking in them.
Some blessings achievements and favours will only be for those who keep time, kama wewe ni wakuchelewa kila wakatiI (if you are one of those that are late all the time)...unless you position yourself into keeping time, you will miss time-bound blessings. Your evaluation should lead to the right changes and actions.
On 31 December 2023, we said we needed to evaluate ourselves to assess how we performed, where we succeeded where we failed, why and what we need to change.
The same night during the crossover we said we needed spiritually to take charge of our gates so that we take charge of what crosses over with us into the year 2024 and hence who controls our wealth or else the devil will take charge and you will be under his oppression and limitations.
On 1 January 2024 we said we need to make our year 2024 resolution based on what is the most important goal of the year that will give us the best result.
If we are looking for the best of 2024, it is already revealed.
James 1
17. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
All the good things we want in 2024 ziko na Mungu (are with God). All our best possessions of 2024 are in God’s hands let us seek him na tukimpata tumepata baraka zetu zote (and when we find Him, we shall have found all our blessings).
We must make seeking God in 2024 our priority no 1 and everything else will fall into place.
Matthew 6
33. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Our strategy this year 2024 is to seek God as a way of positioning ourselves to possess the promises since God has our possession.
This is how we are spiritually going to position ourselves:
Jeremiah 29
12. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
If we position ourselves in prayer and fasting seeking God we will find him na tukimpata tutakuwa tumepata yote (when we find Him, we shall have found all), we will possess.
13. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
We are moving into position by starting with 21 days of prayer and fasting to possess the year and its blessings.
Let's position ourselves in prayers and fasting to seek him so that we may possess our blessings that are in the heavenly realm.
