Jesus is Coming Back - The Blessed Hope, November 28, 2021

By Rev. Michael Mwangi

Acts 1:11

[11]“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

While we go through troubles and travails here on earth, we know it's just for a season. We look forward to the return of Christ to come and establish his rule in this world and we experience abundant life and enjoy the eternal blessing promised. We have put our hope in Jesus our saviour in whom we have eternal life. We eagerly await and look forward to his return and share in the kingdom prepared for us. This is our blessed hope. We need to live everyday preparing and waiting for his return.

Jesus went to prepare a place for us.

John 14:1-4

[1]“Do not let your hearts be troubled.

You believe in God ; believe also in me.

[2]My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

[3]And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

[4]You know the way to the place where I am going.”

The blessing awaiting us

1 Corinthians 2:9

[9]However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard,

and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him—

There is nothing here on earth that can can compare with what awaits us.

Where are we?

We are living in the last days according to Gods calendar.

God worked for 6 days and on the 7th day, He rested..

2 Peter 3:8

[8]But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

From creation to Abraham it was 2000 years representing 2 days.

From Abraham to Christ was another 2000 days representing 2 more days.

The birth of Christ marked the beginning of the last days and now we are in the year 2000 meaning we are in the sixth day. God is about to bring rest as we enter the 7th day and Christ is coming to rule this world for 1000 years or 7th day namely The Millennium.

In fact we are in the end or evening of the very last day. Jesus is coming any moment and we can see the fulfillment of the end times prophecy very clearly.

Signs of the End

2 Tim 3:1-9 The last days

Before Jesus come for the second time

Great deception, increase in knowledge and wickedness, people turning away from the truth. Just when we are wondering if things can get any worse than this.

Rapture: 1Thessalonians 4:13-18

1 Corinthians 15: 51-52

[51]Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed

[52]in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

Rapture is not the second coming of Christ. Jesus will appear in the sky and take up believers, dead and alive so that they will not suffer God's wrath during the tribulation. They will be Judged at the Bema seat of Christ; rewarded for their good works and given glorified bodies.

There are no precursors to rapture it could happen any time. Are you ready?

What Next?

While we will be in heaven enjoying, Here on earth the worst will just be beginning. At this time the restraining force of God the Holy Spirit is taken together with the church from the earth and only Christ rejecting world is left behind. Wickedness will be unrestrained and evil will prevail on levels never seen before as the devil takes over the helm of the earth courtesy of antichrist. That's when tribulation start. The antichrist takes over and persecution of the left-behind starts and later God pours out his wrath upon God rejecting society. There will be heightened demonic activities and massive catastrophic disasters never seen before since the world begun.

Seven Years of Tribulation

These are judgments of God that will be scattered over the first 3.5years of the tribulation. The seventh seal is silence for half an hour and then.

More judgements will follow in the last 3.5 years. Fire from heaven is thrown on earth. The earth literally burns, 1/3 of vegetation and trees burn, creating famine, 1/3 of is turned to blood killing a 1/3 of all sea creatures and contaminating 1/3 of the fresh water. 1/3 of the sun, moon and stars is darkened.
