Psalms 23:1-6 New International Version (NIV)
 

1.                The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2.                He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3.                he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

4.                Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5.                You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6.                Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

 a)               We come to an end of a year that some of us may look back and all we can trace is pain, stress, unforgiveness, and anger that the devil has put in place to keep us in places is not still.

b)               You can deal with the chaos around you until they get inside you, pressure from around, friends, work, and family may be contained until it becomes stressful and gets within because it begins to crush you from within.

c)                Ships don’t sink because of water that's around them tossing them about but the water that gets in the ship and it can’t hold it afloat, it has to sink.

d)               You can deal with everything the devil throws at you from outside but the moment he touches your spirit, mind, peace, and joy he takes us from the still place but today we are getting into a ride into the still place to get back what we have lost this year and let Go for him to take over.

e)               For some of us, God is making us lie down because we are so used to chaos, trouble, and poverty that we don’t know how to lie down in the green pastures of the Lord he got to make you lie down, let you leave your life in his hands.

f)                 You are used to businesses falling you don’t want to open another one, relationships failing that u gave up, and always guarding your heart against breakages but no matter what you have been through the Lord is saying let them go and let me go on.

g)               The devil will surround you with negativity here, and there, around that you never think about anything positive.

 Philippians 4:8 NIV.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

 a)               The devil has made sure you have concentrated on the wrong things for so long that the right stuff is passing by, he makes you a survivor than succeed so that you spend your time surviving the current storm and never have time to think of the next thing you need to do in the will of God.

b)               Disciples asked how many times should we forgive? Jesus responded in an impossible way to us

c)                Forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself, it doesn't hurt them but hurts me. Whoever controls your attitude, peace, joy, and mood has power over you.

 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.


a)               I thank God for the moment I lost myself but he was merciful to me that he brought me back.

b)               I thank God for the enemies who rose against me this year because their presence is a banquet for me

c)                You can choose to fight the enemy or stay at the table and let dinner be served

a)               People are a great resource but God remains to be my SOURCE because have lived with people for a long time to know that resources sometimes fail because they get tired, get emotional, proud and want to enslave me, get busy, want to manipulate me in order to give me but when resources come shot have come to learn the SOURCE NEVER RUNS DRY.

b)               God has had me covered throughout with oil, (Sheep with oil on their head).

c)                When you let him do the fighting for you he restores you like Job.

 
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
 

a)               Despite what have lost, people who have walked away, businesses have closed, deals failed, have come this far not to lose anymore but I got to let it go and

Conclusion

a)               Jesus on the cross when he was almost losing it said one prayer, FATHER FORGIVE THEM. Despite the pain, mockery, insults, shame

b)               When you know what's ahead of you is more important than what's behind you, what you have been through you let Go and let God.

c)                You can't move on unless you release some people out

d)               Anger towards relatives, spouses, friends, bosses, and business partners.

e)               Bitterness on things that have happened.
