Men Love Your Wives -Part 1

According to Genesis 2:18-24, God created man as a full package. He was supposed to possess the whole earth and wealth. He was also given the intellect and knowledge to name all creatures. However, God saw a deficiency in a man in his loneliness and realized that there was nothing that could satisfy him apart from getting him a woman. Unfortunately, the modern world and modern man doesn’t see a woman as a suitable helper but as an asset thus forgetting to position her where she belongs. But are you aware that there is nothing that completes and perfects the world of a man like a wife? A man may have all the investments, properties, power but without a woman, he remains just a man and not a husband and his house remains just mere rooms and not a habitable home. How a man treats a woman generally determines whether he value her or not. Since God’s idea was for a woman to be the most important thing in a man’s life until you start seeing your wife that way you’ll never appreciate living with her and treating her as a gift from God. On the contrary, you’ll just be staying with her for the sake since there is nothing that you can do. Although We have been living a life where our marriages are defined by cultures and traditions, it’s now time we appreciate the role that a woman plays in our lives and what they were meant to do biblically. According to the bible here are some of the things that you ought to do as a man

• Change your attitude.
You need to change your attitude and start seeing your wife as a privilege and not an inconvenience.
• Love them and learn how to correct them when they make mistakes.
According to Colossians 3:19, you need to love your wife and don’t be harsh to them. Once you know that the woman you choose proves your wisdom you’ll understand that God honored your choice and blessed you with her.
• Treat her like a rose flower. 
 You need to remember that a woman is like a rose flower. Although she is enjoyable, she also has some thorny stems so everything depends on how you handle her. The bible also says in Proverbs 18:22 that whoever finds a wife finds a good thing. Since God believes in marriage he knows that you’ll make a good husband for her according to God’s plan.
• Love her just as Christ loves the church.
In reference to Ephesians 5:25 – “husbands love your wives just as Christ to the church."
Have you ever thought about how Christ loves you regardless of your mistakes, failings, and behavior? That’s how you are supposed to love your wife. As a matter of fact, you don’t have to wait for her to love you first before you can love them because God commands you to love her.
In 1st Peter 3:7, the bible says that by failing to love your wife you miss God’s favor and this can even hinder your prayers.
