2 Corinthians 5
17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
18. All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
19. that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
20. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
21. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
We are saved for a purpose
We are saved to have eternal life, but as we live to save others.
Our coming to Christ is a call to make others know Jesus, who saved us.
Our mission as believers is to know Christ and make him known
Every believer is called to this mission, and therefore every believer is a minister.
We have a responsibility to reveal Christ to the world just as we have received Him. We reach out to men with the gospel on behalf of Christ.
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors.
Every single believer is commissioned and commanded to be involved.
Leaders may be for few select, but the Ministry is for every believer.
Paul tells us in verse 19 that he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
This is not a special job for evangelists or pastors, apostles or teachers.
These are leadership offices for equipping the church for ministry.
Ephesians 4
11. So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,
12. to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
13. until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.
So this is leadership which is for a few to prepare the church for ministry.
But ministry is for every believer.
As long as you have encountered Christ, you have the Spirit of God and can witness for Christ.
But ministry is for every believer.
As long as you have encountered Christ, you have the Spirit of God and can witness for Christ.
Romans 8
11. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
11. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
Any believer has the Spirit of God and is therefore empowered to witness and minister.
You don't have to be many years in salvation or know all the theology.
You don't have to be many years in salvation or know all the theology.
The Samaritan Woman
John 4
28. Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,
29. “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”
30. They came out of the town and made their way toward him.
39. Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
40. So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days.
41. And because of his words many more became believers.
This woman, who encountered Jesus for just a moment, brought a witness to the whole village.
The least of any of us is better placed to minister than this 1-hour-old believer.
We witness through our words and deeds.
None of us has any excuse why we can’t or are not witnessing unless you have not encountered Jesus.

John 9:25
We simply tell others what Christ has done for us and demonstrate his working by our lifestyle.
Matthew 5
13. “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
When we live as new creation, our lives reflects Jesus and we are witness of Christ in our various places. We become the light of the world reflecting the glory of God and His son Jesus Christ.
We are able to tell and share with people our testimony... what Christ has done for us and lead them to Christ even as our life bear witness of transformed lives.
We are therefore to be preoccupied with reconciling men to Christ even as we have been reconciled.
As Believers, this is our great commission and wherever we find ourselves, whether in school home or work, that's our mission field.

Mark 16
15. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
16. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
17. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
18. they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Jesus said those who will obey and go... be witnesses will also experience the power of the Holy Spirit in their witnessing.
These signs and wonders will follow those who believe... lay hands on the sick.
Every believer is a minister. He has the Spirit of God to fulfill that mandate.
The spirit in a believer is alive, and every believer can exercise the gift of the Spirit.
The signs follow those who go. Until you obey and become a witness, you cannot experience the power of the Holy Spirit.

The main reason Jesus came is to reconcile men to the Father. It is the heartbeat of the father. This should also be our greatest mission as a church and as individuals. Reaching out to the lost world wherever God has placed us, making disciples of all nations. If you are not reaching out, it means you need to be reached out. The people around you are your mission field and your ministry.
God loves people and that was the sole reason for Jesus coming and dying on the cross. It was to save the lost souls. Therefore, the main business of the church should be about the lost souls. The greatest commission is our main duty and bears the greatest eternal reward.
Daniel 12:3
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
