Senior Pastor, Fedha Church, Kenya Assemblies of God
25. Then he said, “My son, bring me some of your game to eat, so that I may give you my blessing.” Jacob brought it to him and he ate; and he brought some wine and he drank.
26. Then his father Isaac said to him, “Come here, my son, and kiss me.”
27. So he went to him and kissed him. When Isaac caught the smell of his clothes, he blessed him and said, “Ah, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field that the Lord has blessed.
28. May God give you heaven’s dew and earth’s richness—an abundance of grain and new wine.
29. May nations serve you and peoples bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed.”
Words of authority carry the same authority
They have power to affect those they are directed to.
John 6:63 The words I speak to you are Spirit and life
God said in Genesis let there be and everything we see came to be. All the world we see was contained in just words
Those in authority rule by words ... issue decree and things just happen
Matthew 8
8. The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
9. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
Blessings and curses are just words spoken by someone in authority and works
Genesis 49
When a president visits he just gives directives and projects happen. He doesn't have to do anything else.
2 Kings 5
10. Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”

The words even without presence were enough to accomplish the miracle.
Men in authority can shut heavens hata bingu za wanadamu (heaven of people).
1 Kings 17
1. Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.”
God honours authorities He has established. Parents are authorities established by god
And can pronounce blessings and curses
That's why children ought to honour them.
No matter how terrible your parents are. It is never the responsibility of parents to honour their children but children to do so. Hakuna tuheshimiane kwa wazazi (You can not ask your parents to respect you).
Genesis 9
24. When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him,
25. he said, “Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.”
26. He also said, “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem.
27. May God extend Japheth’s territory; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”
Father's are the heads and authorities
For single mothers and divorced no matter how messy and noisy it was,
Hata kama (Even if) your dad is the poorest drunkard of the village he still carries blessings for your kids akinena itakuwa (if he speaks it will happen). Don’t deny your kids aces to their father's blessings
The Blessings of long life are only from parents not pastor hata tukiwaita (even if we call them) dad and mum.
Some of you have everything because of pastor's Blessings but you are still struggling an (and) you can't enjoy juu huna baraka za wazazi (because you don't have blessings from parents). Ulitoroka na ukakuja kama hamuko interms ..enda uwapelekee sukari wakunenee baraka.(You disappeared from your parents when you were not in good terms).
Wengine our poor local pastor spoke a word na ndio iltufungulia milango kuja nairobi (which opened doors to come to Nairobi)
... remember them na wakunenee (and they will speak a word for you).
