2 Kings 7:3-8
3 Now there were four men with leprosy[a] at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, “Why stay here until we die? 4 If we say, ‘We’ll go into the city’—the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let’s go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die.”
5 At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, no one was there, 6 for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!” 7 So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives.
8 The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp, entered one of the tents and ate and drank. Then they took silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.
2 Timothy 2
19. Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”
20. In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use.
21. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
22. Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
We live in times when people are defining and setting their own standards of salvation and still claiming to be God's children.
People want to live the way they want as if nothing matters anymore and still claim to be believers.
Today's believers are redefining sin and justifying sinful lifestyles but that does not change God's word. The word of God will never change and sin will always remain to be sin
1. Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm
In other words, God’s unchanging word can not be altered it remains the same forever.
It does not matter how much we may deny the truth but that does not change God's word.
Psalms 119:89 God's word is forever settled in heaven, it is not up for debate.
People are in church and serving but at the same time living according to their desires and not according to the truth of the word.
Things even get complex where sin is no longer condemned in the church as gifts are being appreciated over spirituality. We are having anointed but not spiritual ministers and believers living contrary to the truth
Ministers are interested in the work of the Lord but not the walk with the Lord.
Don't be deceived by the anointing what matters is relationship not workmanship.
Saul remained anointed 16 years after he was rejected.
He continued to be king yet was rejected by God.
Anointing does not necessarily mean God's approval.
Listen to what God has to say to both groups... believers and ministers.
Matthew 7
21. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’
23. Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
We should not be surprised these are the last days when people will reject the truth and seek a version of their truth.
2 Timothy 4
3. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
4. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
2. God knows those who are His
You can argue, enjoy us, confuse us or challenge us but God knows your heart and mind and He already knows those who are truly saved.
So endelea kucheza kama wewe God is not bothered alikuonea mbali na amejipanga na wale walio wake maana anawajua (so continue being clever, God is not bothered. He already knows your intention and already knows those that being to Him). it is a done deal
Romans 8
29. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
30. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
Your salvation will be evident from your lifestyle.
If you are truly born again You must live in truth in accordance with God"s holy word
v19b“Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”
You cannot be saved and continue living wickedly, we must live holy lives others wise our deeds will obviously define who we are, our lifestyle whether we belong to God or to the devil
1 John 3. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
6. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
7. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
8. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
9. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.
10. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister
Work out your salvation you work your way out of salvation
Philippians 2
12. Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
This is how you work out your salvation
22. Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
We must shun evil and love righteousness
Make a choice to either be wicked or to be holy.
Revelation 22:11.
Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”
12. “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
Romans 14:11-12
11 It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
