Giving - The Power of Tithes and Offering, March 3, 2024

The secret of blessings lies in our obedience to the law of God. There were times that we were good to some instructions in the bible but failed to obey some important commandments, especially in finances.

God wants to bless us only if we can be obedient.

Proverbs 3:9-10(NIV)

9 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruit of all your crop ; 10 Then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with the new wine.

Honor The Lord With Our Tithes 

Leviticus 27:30 (NIV)

"A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain   from soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord. It is Holy to the Lord.

*Holy means separated, sanctified, set apart.*

What Happened When You Used Your Tithe In Old Testament

Leviticus 27:30-34

31 Whoever would redeem any of their tithe must add a fifth of the value to it.

 1/5 ×50000= 10000. Remember the Lord of yesterday is the same Lord today and tomorrow.

Tithing is a Decree and Covenant from God 

Malachi 3:7-10

7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decree and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,"says the Lord Almighty."But you ask,"how are to return?"8 "I ask you, is it right for a person to cheat God? Of course not, yet you are cheating me. "How?" you ask .In the matters of tithes and offerings.(Holy bible) 9 You are under a curse - your whole nation - because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, "says the Lord Almighty," and see.

The Benefits of Giving our Tithes

"If I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings that there will not be room enough to store it."

a) Open the floodgates of heaven.

b)Pour out so much blessings with overflow.

11"I will prevent pest from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruits before it is ripe," says the Lord Almighty.

c) Protect against the PESTS (sickness and diseases, creditors who don't pay, closing doors of opportunities).

12" Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delighted land," says the Lord Almighty.

d) You will be called blessed.
