2 King 71:9
People were dying of hunger in the city every day. When the lepers found food, they knew this was good news that could save those who were dying in the city, They understood how urgent and important it was to share the good news, failure to which more lives would be lost and they would be held accountable. Blessed enough they were obedient and their message saved the dying city.
Our world is dying with sin. Every day we are around people doomed to die because they don't know Jesus, yet we have the good news that can save them, in fact we not only have it but we have been commanded to share it.
Mark 16
15. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
16. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Your sharing of Jesus can make a difference in someone's eternity. God has entrusted us with the words of life. We have the power over death through the blood of Jesus and we have been given and assigned to share this good news with the world.
God has commanded us to fulfil this great commission.
Any person around you who doesn't know Christ will perish in hell if they die.
We are to share with those around us. God's peace towards mankind, his love for us, his gift of grace and his overwhelming mercy. We have the words that bring life and Jesus has placed His faith in us to share it.
Romans 10:17
Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ
We stand in a place of life and death like watchmen.
Ezekiel 33:7
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.
8. When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
9. But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, though you yourself will be saved.
We must warn people of hell and show them the way of forgiveness through Christ. They must know without Jesus they are lost for eternity
James 5:20
Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
Unfortunately, we have failed to do so and our own relatives are dying in their sins and going to eternal damnation. We are either disobedient, don't care or are ashamed of the gospel
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
If you are ashamed to share Christ with the world, consider this:
Luke 9:26
Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
Paul would not risk not preaching the gospel.
1 Corinthians 9:16
For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
If we fail to obey the great commission. We are disobedient but if we obey we will have the greatest reward in Eternity.
Daniel 12:3.
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
Conclusion
Winning sauls is our core business as believers, we must therefore share the gospel always.
Let's remember the only thing we can carry or take with us to heaven is people.
Everything else tutaacha hapa duniani (shall be left here on earth).
The only reason God sent his son to die is for people. Missions are the heartbeat of God. Get involved, live the gospel, share the Gospel and support the gospel. Don't be silent with the gospel as the world around you is headed to hell.
