Romans 8:18.
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Troubles are temporary and not permanent
Many times in life we face challenges that make us abandon our faith and fail to understand the Lord has promised not to leave nor forsake us.
Psalms 32: 8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Isaiah 30: 21
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.
What you need to do so that you may be able to stand your ground in difficult times
1. Recognise God as your help and ever-present help in times of trouble
Psalms 46:1-5
46 God is our refuge and strength,
A[a] very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the [b]midst of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the [c]tabernacle of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be [d]moved;
God shall help her, just [e]at the break of dawn.
Many people believe in their own power and ability to give out solutions in life, yet when they fail to get the solution they fall away in relationship with God and end up backsliding.
2. Do not shift your focus /faith from the cross. Keep connected to Jesus
Proverbs 121:
1 A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills-- From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
Matthew 14:
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.
28 And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."
29 So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
3. Let not your heart be troubled. Just be strong enough and believe that your problem has been attended to
John 14:1
1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
1 Peter 5: 7
7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Matthew 11:
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
4. Trust in the lord with all your heart your faith will catch his attention and quickly He will pay attention to your misery
Psalms 27: 3
3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war should rise against me, In this I will be confident.
Psalms 40:
3 He has put a new song in my mouth-- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.
Habakkuk 3.
17 Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labour of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls--
18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Proverbs 3:
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
5. Wait upon the Lord. It is tragic is when we are in trouble God seems to be silent, and we wonder where else can we find help
Psalms 40:
1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.
