Numbers 33:51-53
[51]“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,
[52]drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places.
[53]Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
We are have crossed over by God's grace to 2022 past the corona wilderness.
Everyone is excited and ready to possess the land. We are set to enter our promised land but we have to remove the enemies and their idols first.
God who has given us 2022 holds the blessings of 2022. We must seek him more than anything else. we cannot drive the Canaanites on our own. Remember Canaan without God is nothing
Canaan was occupied by its inhabitants. The Israelites were not going to just walk into the land and start enjoying. They were to fight, and dispossess the enemy first before they could possess and settle on it. 2022 is the year our blessings for those who are ready to battle the enemy. It is for those who are willing to conquer through prayers and fasting while submitting themselves fully to God. Prayers fasting is our choice weapon for spiritual battles.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
[3]For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
[4]The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds
Canaan is already given to us but we will have to fight and prevail the enemy in prayers in order to enjoy the Canaan
Daniel 10:12-13
[12]Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.
[13]But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
God has already given us the blessing. It's for us to possess them.
Ephesians 1:3
[3]Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Notice that all the blessings we need have been given but they are in the spiritual or heavenly realm. We can only see and enjoy them when they come into the physical realm. Prayers translate blessing from the spiritual realm into the physical realm where we can see and touch them.
Some are going to possess their jobs, rest, health, relationship, business land, houses, breakthroughs, open doors, promotions and graduation into new levels.
In order to partake of our Canaan, there are some things that need to deal with. If we are going to make it and prosper in 2022, we need to hear him and obey his commands
This is what is He is commanding us.
When you cross the to 2022
1. Drive out the inhabitants of the land
2022 we will have to fight out the enemies and dethrone them. We must have dominion and control over them.
We have 3 enemies of that we must contend with:
[a]Our flesh with its sinful desire
Galatians 5:17
[17]For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other so that you are not to do whatever you want.
Solution
Crucify the flesh daily
Galatians 5:24
[24]Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Surrender to the Holy spirit always
Galatians 5:16
[16]So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
[b]The devil and his demons
1 Peter 5:8
[8]Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Solution:
a) Resist him
1 Peter 5:9
[9]Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
Matthew 4. Jesus resisted the devil with the word,
It is written
submit yourself to God
James 4:7
[7]Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
b) The worldliness
systems and ideologies that are opposed to God
James 4:4
[4]You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
Solution
1. Don"t follow the world follow the word
1 John 2:15-16
[15]Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
[16]For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world
2. Destroy all their carved images and idols
God was punishing the Canaanites nations because of their idolatry and wickedness. They were detestable and an abomination to him. He commanded that they be completely destroyed. If we are going to possess God's blessings, we must be ready to destroy every idol in our lives.
3. Demolish their high places
There are things[pleisure, hobbies, job careers, friendship, fashions and others] that have taken priorities in our lives over God. They occupy high places in our hearts because we treasure them or worship them.
There are weights (things) and the sin that separates us from God affecting our relationship with Him. They occupy where God should occupy in our hearts and so we fail also to occupy what God has given us.
2 Corinthians 7:1
[1]Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
3. Take possession of the land
Once we seek God diligently and sanctify ourselves, we can be ready for Gods blessings.
When God is given the highest place in our hearts, He will occupy and so we will occupy our allotment.
Isaiah 1:19
[19]If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;
Are you ready to possess the blessings of 2022?
