What Easter accomplished for us
The Easter event did not only bring our salvation and redemption spiritually but also brought healing for our body. Through Easter, we were made whole. It is abundant life for those who believe.

What Easter accomplished for us
The Easter event did not only bring our salvation and redemption spiritually but also brought healing for our body. Through Easter, we were made whole. It is abundant life for those who believe.
THE FALL
Beyond the chain of events from arrest to resurrection let's look at the implications of major things that we should never forget. After the fall of man, sin entered the world bringing terrible consequences, and these is what Jesus dealt with during Easter.
1. The penalty of sin
Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.
• As a result of sin, man died spiritually. Spiritual death means to be separated from God, man was chased from the garden of Eden where he lived in fellowship with God. As a result, man lost fellowship with God.
• Spiritual death means one is lost for eternity. Though physically you may be alive as Adam and Eve continued living, they were not in fellowship with God.
• This is why there is a need to be born again for every person though they are alive physically. Jesus told Nicodemus in order to inherit the kingdom one has to be born-again
Colossians 1:21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behaviour.
His death on the cross paid the penalty of our sins and reconciled us to God
Romans 5:10 For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
2. The power of sin
• We are not sinners because we have sinned but because we are born sinners. We have the nature of sin in us(naturally sin by default)
• Sin entered man and dominated him.
Romans 7:14:21.
14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law.
• Sin enslaves and is a bad master
• Sins frustrates
• But Jesus death brought us our freedom, we can overcome and resist sin
Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Through His death he gave us a new life so we can live a new life of holiness through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature He has also provided for the grace to resist sin and it's enticements.
Titus
2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.2:12It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
We are free from the power of sin to live whole lives
3.The price for healing
• Before Jesus went on the cross he was whipped mercilessly and greatly wounded.
It was the price for our bodily healing so we can be in good bodily healing
1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds, you have been healed.
• Even Covid -19 was taken care of. We can ask healing and God will heal us. He took care of our physical body even before spiritual life.
Conclusion
Psalms 103:2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--103:3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,103:4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
As a result we can enjoy the 3 P’s.His Presence, Protection and the Providence.
