Genesis 26
Salvation does not make us immune from challenges.
Isaac was faced with famine as it happened with his father Abraham.
1 Corinthians 10:13. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Be sensitive to spirit guidance. (V1, 24,)
isaac never missed the voice of God. The obvious move was logical reasoning, moving down to Egypt where there was plenty like His father did and it was a disaster.
Genesis 12:10. Abraham went Down..
Psalms 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.32:9 Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. Always involve God in your decision making. He knows everything.
David always enquired. 1 Samuel 30:8 should I pursue. 1 Samuel 5:19 should I go? Are you in a position to hear God? Which voices are speaking louder in your life.

Learn to trust in the Lord fully. (V7)
Isaac and Abraham would lie because they did not trust in God. Any tyme we can't trust in God, we scheme.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;3:6in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
(V2) when God urged him to stay in a famine land he trusted and stayed and he prospered
(V12)When Isaac trusted God despite no rain, he planted and harvested 100 fold.
He did not allow logic to prevail over God.

Choose your company carefully. (V16,20)
Friends are like stairs they either take you up or down. Isaac settled with Abimelech who wanted his wife and was jealous of his success. His people the Philistines were filling the wells and eating his efforts.
13:20 He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. There friends who just bring contentions in your life. Others fills up your well and there are those who gives you a peace of mind of fresh water.

Seek presence not position.
Isaac like his father was a man of alter. He remained on God's  side for he knew enemies can never thrive in God's presence and so success is guaranteed.
He did not approach Abimelech for protection or treaty but choose just to hung around with God rather than be one of them. He moved around instead of joining them.
33:15 Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.33:16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?"
Finally they discovered something was an usual with isaac. He continued to prosper in their land and increased greatly.  The difference was clear and the distinction unbeatable. (V28) we saw clearly the Lord was with you.

Never focus on your enemies or challenges, focus on God
Isaac saw a God was able to supply more than what the enemy could take. (V16)He never fought with them over the well or land but moved on finding better Wells.  He never tried to prove a point to them. He allowed God to show himself.
Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him. V28-29)
