Don't Go a Day Without Christ

Main Text: Luke 2: 41-52
1. The place of Fellowship
The most important need of our Christian life is, Fellowship with God.
The Divine life within us comes from God, and is entirely dependent upon Him. As I need every moment a fresh air to breathe, so do I need God's presence for my Spirit to live as the sun.
It is only in direct living communication with God that my soul can be strong.
The manna of one day was corrupt when the next day came. I must every day have fresh grace from heaven, and I obtain it only in direct waiting upon God Himself.
Take time to meet God every day, Christianity is a walk of personal fellowship with the living God.

2. The place of Meditation
In your devotions, take time with God. In prayer, or worship, and reading of Scriptures.
Psalms 1:
1.Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.

3. The place of surrender
When you have given God His place of honor, glory, and power, take your place of deepest lowliness, in humility allow His Holy Spirit to take over.

Galatians 5:17
For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[c] you want.

4. The place of access
As you enter deep into God's holy presence you gain access into the very heart and love of the Father.
This is the objective of fellowship with God that I may have more of God in my life, and that God may see Christ formed in me. Allow God to mould you such that his will prevail not your will

5. The place of intimacy
Jesus Christ is a living Person.
He loves you with a personal love, and he looks every day for the personal response of your love.
Look into His face with trust, till His love really shines into your heart. Make His heart glad by telling Him that you do love Him. He offers Himself to you as a personal Savior and Keeper from the power of sin.
As you you stay close to Jesus, you stay away from sin and sinful situations.

1 Peter 5:8

10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Choose a book and time to read along during this Christmas season.

Psalms 119:105
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
